As everybody seems to post Hawaii 🌺 pictures this week, I will go a long. So much memories…. First Time watching the Race on the course in 2007 to see Chrissie win in her debut race. Then spending a lot of time on the Island, did you know I had a appartement there and lived there part of the year for a while? My debut Race getting 2nd behind chrissie…. some more top 10 spots and as much DNF‘s here… my last finish a 4th place, lost my 3rd place in the last part of the Race… Lots of emotional memories, a closed chapter with a satisfied feeling…. the only Dutchie ever that got a 2nd place here, guess that will stand for a while 😉#hawaii #triathlon #racing #swimbikerun #proud #satisfied #worldchampionship #ironman @pepebit @teamsiriustriclub_rebekahkeat #teamsiriuseurope

3. Sebastian Kienle

Today, exactly one and two years ago, i arrived on the big island of Hawaii. In 2018 I Heatstroked 700m in front of the finish line. In 2019 i had a shit race. In 2020 i qualified for Kona for the 3rd time in a row. My last shot at having a good race, as i wanted to turn professional after Kona. After my 8 hour 40 min IRONMAN in New Zealand, i knew i had the potential to do very well on the big island. But,, 2020 is just a bit different this year. No Kona and Luckily no Corona. 2020 was my last chance to race Kona as an ‘Amateur’. Hopefully ill be back on the big Island one day.. as a professional. Dream big! Thanks everybody for your always warm support❤️❤️🏆 #whydoyourun #beatyesterday #ironmanworldchampionship #kona #roadtokona #timetrialtuesday #timetrialbikes #ttbikes #ironmantraining #triathlonmotivation #protriathlete #transformationtuesday #triathlonlife #triathlon_world #triathlonbabes #triathlon_in_the_world #swimbikerun #triathlonworld #tri365 #ironman #ironmantraining #ironmantriathlon #triathlontraining #triathlonlife #triathlonmotivation #triathlon_world #wearetriathlon #humansoftriathlon #triathlete #swimbikerunworld #triathlon

Only in Kona could this look be semi acceptable… I used to fight back when I was told to ride my aero lid in training but after 5 years it’s almost become normal (in race week 🤣) It’s only when I send selfies to non triathlon friends that I realise bib shorts and aero helmets aren’t a thing in real life! Right now, I’m 11,666km away from Hawi and tbh I couldn’t feel further away both in physical distance and distance from being that fit ☝️ Always a fun day hanging out with @witsupcom & @nikkibartlett1 thanks for sharing your jam sandwich with all of us Nix 😉 and thanks Chief @witsupcom for the 📸 #ironmanworldchamps #ironmantri #ironmankona #roadtokona #ironmantraining #swimbikerun #trilife #triathlete #tri365 #3athlonlife
